Secret Santa
Organize Secret Santa — draw names online, not from a hat
No more slips in a hat where someone draws themselves or a couple draws each other. Create a group, invite everyone and let the generator draw fairly. Each person gets a personal link and only sees who they gift.
- Fair draw — nobody draws themselves
- Set exclusions for couples or family members
- Wishlists per person so the gift fits

One click — everyone learns who they gift via their link. You stay out of the secret.
Why drawing online beats the hat
The classic hat draw always has the same pitfalls: someone draws themselves, a couple gifts each other, or a person is missing and has to be redrawn later. Anyone not in the room can't take part at all.
Online, these problems disappear. The generator produces a valid assignment where nobody draws themselves and all exclusions hold — even across distance. Everyone gets a secret link, adds wishes and, after the draw, sees who they gift. As the organizer you choose whether to see the assignments or keep it a true secret for all.
- Works even when not everyone is in the same place
- Reshuffle later if someone joins or drops out
- Co-organizers can manage the group together
Frequently asked questions
How does Secret Santa work?
A group gives gifts to each other, but each person gifts only one other — who gets whom is decided by the draw. Everyone receives a gift without buying for all. There's usually a budget, e.g. “max €20”.
How many people do you need for Secret Santa?
It gets fun from three people; with two it's just a gift swap. There's no upper limit — the generator reliably draws large groups too.
Can I stop a couple from drawing each other?
Yes. Add an exclusion for the two before drawing, and the generator makes sure they don't gift each other.
Does the organizer see who draws whom?
Only if you want to. By default the assignment stays secret — even from you. You can enable the view, for example to make manual adjustments.
Do participants need an account?
No. Only you, the organizer, create a free account. Everyone else uses their personal link to add wishes and see who they gift — no sign-up.
